Senior Refinery / Plant Maintenance Consultant

A high-level international engineering consulting firm (see below) seeks a degreed engineer with senior level refinery maintenance experience to join the firm as a Senior Refinery / Plant Maintenance Consultant. This individual will add value to client companies by leveraging his or her extensive knowledge, experience and insights in refinery/petrochemical plant maintenance and operations. Typical projects include operational improvement consulting, accident investigations, insurance disputes, and expert testimony in the context of disputes and/or litigation.

Preferred Experience

  • Overall responsibility for maintenance in a refinery and/or petrochemical plant
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance planning and budgeting
  • Key role in managing rehab or expansion projects
  • Learning the key processes and systems that support the business
  • Special projects as assigned by the CEO
  • Experience testifying as an expert or fact witness in disputes related to plant operations, maintenance, accidents and/or disruptions (not required)


  • B.S. (or higher) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 15 years’ industry experience (post-collegiate experience)
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • PE license preferred, but not required
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
