Our client, a fast-growing accounting and consulting firm, has an opportunity for an experienced professional to join their banking consulting practice in Nashville.

Overview of the position

Nashville has a vibrant banking and financial services ecosystem. The Consultant will leverage his or her experience in consulting and/or the banking financial services industry to solve clients’ problems and to help clients achieve even greater success. The Firm provides the following services to banking and financial services clients:

  • Entity-level governance and risk consulting
  • Risk and control design and optimization consulting
  • Process design and improvement consulting
  • New business process, control, compliance, and accounting design consulting
  • Outsourced / co-sourced internal audit and SOX/FDICIA consulting
  • Financial services / Bank compliance consulting, testing and remediation
  • Credit risk and loan loss estimation consulting
  • Technical accounting services for significant transactions, new business lines and innovation

In addition, the Consultant will:

  • Manage project success and project profitability
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Provide leadership, training and development to junior team members

The specific title/level of the Consultant will depend upon his or her previous experience.

This individual will be eligible to progress to partner within the Firm.

Candidate profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field
  • A credential / certification such as CPA, CAFP, CERP, CRCM is preferred
  • Must have experience working for an accounting or consulting firm, a financial institution, or a regulator
  • Must have knowledge of, and experience with, federal banking regulations
  • Able to lead and motivate team members
  • A good colleague with others
  • Stable employment history
  • At least five years of professional (post-college) experience
