Overview
The Controller is responsible for the preparation and review of
timely and accurate financial statements for several entities. This
individual is responsible for coordinating the accounting close
process with the other department managers and will interact
frequently with field personnel. The Controller is a trusted
business advisor and recognized accounting expert. The position is
located in Downtown Fort Worth. CPA required.

Position Details

Leads the accounting function and financial reporting close
process for several entities

Manages the preparation of timely and accurate financial
statements

Manages the preparation of monthly and quarterly variance analysis
and account reconciliations

Manages the preparation of quarterly debt compliance certificates
-
Identifies and resolves issues requiring special accounting
treatment
- Leads and develops a staff of three
- Liaison with external auditors and tax professionals

Ensures that internal controls over accounting and financial
reporting are effective
- Other duties as so assigned
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting

Stable employment history required (average job tenure of more
than two years per employer)
- Ten or more years total accounting / auditing experience
- Previous management experience is required
- Some experience in public accounting is required
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP

Able to lead and motivate team members, and a good teammate with
other department heads

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with multiple entities

In certain instances, candidates coming straight out of public
accounting will be considered
