Preferred Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or a related area
  • A CPA is preferred, but is not required
  • At least twelve years of post-collegiate professional experience
  • Has experience in delivering acquisition due diligence projects and buy and sell side quality of earnings reports
  • Has risen to the level of Partner, or to the level just below Partner, in an accounting or consulting firm
  • Has spent the majority of his or her professional career in the Houston area
  • Outstanding client service skills
  • Enjoys coaching and mentoring less experienced staff members
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment

Details

To support client demand, the Firm seeks an experienced transaction advisory services professional to join their leadership team as a Director or Partner. Essential duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Initially -
    • Meet the other Partners and Directors to develop internal relationships
    • Meet with the Firm’s current clients and establish relationships
    • Working with the other Partners and business development professionals, refine and develop the overall and go-to-market strategy for transaction advisory services in Houston
    • Learn and internalize the Firm’s values
    • Look for quick wins
  • Ongoing -
    • Effectively lead and deliver transaction advisory services to clients
    • Build lasting relationships with clients as an objective, informed, trusted advisor
    • Be a key driver in revenue growth and service delivery excellence
    • Manage the success of client accounts, including the effectiveness of project management, client satisfaction, project profitability and risk management
    • Assist in the resolution of difficult issues, either directly or by leveraging other Partners or resources
    • Maintain an awareness of market activities and trends and be able to identify and act on (either individually or by teaming with others) cross selling opportunities in other specialty areas (audit, tax, valuation, etc.)
    • Be accessible and extremely responsive to clients and potential clients
    • Develop new client relationships, and enhance existing ones, in the C suite of client and potential client organizations
    • Actively participate in meetings arranged by other partners and the business development team
    • Participate in firm-sponsored business development events
    • Actively supervise and participate in the proposal process, including scoping, pricing and contract negotiation
    • Recruit, develop and mentor staff members to build a robust practice
    • Provide timely, clear and respectful communication, direction and coaching to junior and senior staff
    • Provide thought leadership
    • Participate in the management of the office
    • Live out the Firm’s values
